37 summers back, a few like- minded individuals from amongst the Indian Diaspora sat together to form what was then named the Indian Cultural Association. The objectives of their meeting was to form a body which catered to the social, cultural, sporting and intellectual needs of the community of Indians residing in the Sultanate of Oman. It was their contention that this body would promote a greater mutual understanding and cooperation between the Indians and the other nationals residing in the Sultanate
